This excursion is the first of our Sahara Desert excursion over 1 night and 2 days.

You will depart from Marrakech early. There will be opportunities on route to stop at the scenic Tizi N’Tichka, with a visit to Ait Benhaddou and to the movie studios in Ouarzazate, before reaching Zagora. Traditionally a camel is ridden to your overnight campsite to experience and enjoy a traditional overnight stay within the dunes of the Zagora desert where dinner is served under the stars.

Following the Berber breakfast taken at an early hour, the camels are ridden back to the main site to the transportation for return allowing our guests to experience a sensational Zagora desert sunrise.

Not only will you get to visit popular landmarks and incredible scenic views, you will also have the amazing opportunity to sleep under the stars within the dunes of Desert adding on the traditional experience. We usually return to Marrakech approx. at 19:00hrs.

How old do I need to be – are there any age restrictions? We recommend the minimum age for this adventure is 5 with parental guidance depending on their health and ability. All under 16’s should be accompanied by a supervising adult. Please feel free to discuss further with us.
Will it be too tiring for the children?Walking is limited and any children can enjoy being escorted by the camels.
What are the accommodations like?There will be two people per tent when camping including mattresses. Some of the larger purpose-built campsite will have larger rooms for multiple beds at an extra cost.
Do I need to arrange my own flights?Yes, everything required for the excursion is included except international flights. You will be collected early on the morning by our transport and taken to the first meet up location. You will also be taken back to Marrakech Medina following the excursion.
What equipment do I need?Appropriate clothing and suitable footwear plus refreshments as required.
Do I need to carry all my stuff with me?We recommend travelling light, and you may leave any luggage you won’t require in the transport vehicle.
