This excursion is a day trip to the prominent and refreshing Ourika Valley set in the foot of the Atlas Mountains. The day will commence with an early collection and will conclude in the evening. Initially, you will start your day with a visit to the local community Argan oil processing co-operative outside Setti Fadma to learn about the legendary Argan Oil, its benefits and the production processes followed by refreshments. You will then be introduced to a local Berber home before then heading to Ourika Valley.
Upon arrival, your party will be taken to a restaurant where lunch will be served prior to your trek. Following lunch, you will be guided through the valley and trek of the top of the mountain passing the largest waterfall before returning. There are opportunities during this trek to stop and admire the nature and scenery whilst enjoying the cooler climate.
As well as the trekking opportunity and a stop to a community co-operative heading up the processing of the infamous Argan oil, this excursion is perfect for a hot summer’s day taking you to enjoy a day’s activities in a cooler altitude.
This excursion will start early and will include approx. 3.5hrs trekking suiting those who enjoy scenic views, trekking and on occasions, hiking, on variable terrains. Depending on your fitness level, some experience may be required, however no intense experience or training required.
